We ensure good quality LPG supply. Our LPG containers are constructed to established codes, are durable and have a long useful life. Our use of good quality and reliable dispensing equipment, which is regularly checked and calibrated, ensures trouble free operation at the point of sale. We ensure that the cylinder leaves the plant in good condition and is correctly filled - two of the most important features that our distributors and customers covet. LPG Cylinders have numerous uses. These are daily household necessities and for your business operational essentials. They must be safe. And the LPG must be of good quality. This is what we offer with GREEN GAS because this is the only way.

We strongly discourage illegal filling (pirate filling) of cylinders by someone other than the cylinder owner. This dangerous practice can result in lack of control over; the condition of the cylinder, and the quality or quantity of the product in the cylinder. Resulting in serious risk of damage or injury to those handling including the customer.

BULK DISTRIBUTION

At Ravi Green Energy, LPG is stored in aboveground steel storage tanks; built to ASME Standards and compliant to NFPA-58. Our current installed capacity is 300 tonne (600,000 litres). For our clients with large LPG consumptions making the use of cylinders is inefficient and impractical. For such we have a bulk loading bay for road tankers. Road tankers vary in size from around 1 tonne capacity to over 30 tonne. They are used to deliver product in bulk to one or more customer facilities. Drivers are responsible for ensuring the vehicle is properly loaded and the correct amount of product safely delivered to the correct locations. They are adequately trained and certified.

Our LPG tankers comply with rigorous specified standards of design, construction, operation and maintenance.

CYLINDER-FILLING

Bottled gas (Cylinders) provides an ideal solution where you can not accommodate a storage tank or if your gas requirement is minimal i.e. gas fire or cookers etc. Cylinders come in many handy shapes and sizes to suit a variety of uses.

For your cylinder requirements at home or business; Ravi Green Energy is a reliable partner. Your empty cylinders enter our filling plant where they are visually checked for wear and damage – and if necessary repaired or disposed of. Further inspection determines whether the cylinder is due for requalification.

After filling, and checking for over or under filling, cylinders are then carefully checked for leaks before being sealed and loaded or stored.

The physical properties of LPG enable significant amounts of energy to be transported easily as a liquid under moderate pressure, yet when used it has the attributes of a gas. Because LPG consists of mixtures of propane and butane, specifications have been established for many different applications.

LPG is a clean burning fuel. This allows it to be used in direct contact with food (e.g. ovens). LPG has environmental and health benefits. It is non-toxic and will not contaminate aquifers or soil. If spilt, LPG will evaporate and disperse into the atmosphere. Unlike methane, the constituents of LPG (Propane and Butane) do not contribute to the atmospheric greenhouse gas loading. Mixed with air LPG produces a very hot flame when ignited and has good temperature control. The high flame temperature allows it to be used in the metal cutting industry and any application requiring precise temperatures.

LPG is portable. It does not rely on a distribution network of pipelines or transmission lines. Its portability allows it to be used in some of the world’s most remote areas or in downtown urban areas.

LPG has an infinite life span (shelf life). Unlike some other liquid petroleum fuels, LPG will not deteriorate over time in storage.

LPG can power the smallest domestic appliance or the largest industrial application. In addition to its many applications as a fuel, LPG is also an important feedstock for the chemical and plastics industry. Clean burning LPG is ideally suited for domestic and commercial cooking, space heating and water heating, and power generation, particularly in remote locations.

There are almost no limitations for LPG use in the industrial sector. Some common applications include heat treatment furnaces, direct firing of ceramic kilns, glass working, textile and paper processing, paint drying and cotton singeing, process heat (oil and steam) and forklift fuel. The clean burning nature and portability of LPG has led it to become one of the fastest growing transport fuels.

The actual bulk loading operation involves strict procedures to control the hazard of transferring several tonne of product from primary storage to a vehicle. Similar procedures apply to the unloading of product at the customers’ premises.

Road transport is one of our highest risk areas. Our operations are conducted using our own fleet and contracted transportation. We follow and apply very strict standards and processes when contracting transporters to ensure that we appoint reputable and reliable service providers that manage their own operations in a sound and sustainable manner.
